Getting big laughs on The Shirley Temple Show.
Joe's television resume includes a total of nearly300 appearances from 1946 to 1988. His first appearance was on Hour Glass on May 9, 1946, the first hour long live television variety-entertainment series produced for network television. On the show, Joe recreated his famous Army Drill routine. 

From the 1950s through the 1970s, Joe popped up in popular series including  I Married Joan, The Jack Benny Program, My Little Margie, The Gene Autry Show, The Betty White Show, The Shirley Temple Show, Batman, The Danny Thomas Hour, That Girl, The Mothers-in-Law, The Jerry Lewis Show, Love American Style and hundreds more.
